Founding Member and Steering Committee Member

Re-elected in 2019 as a Foundation Party Councillor at Folkestone Town Council in Kent. Previously served as a Councillor at Folkestone & Hythe District Council. Mary’s main passion is her community, especially as local communities change, often for worse, without the residents of those communities having a sufficient say.

Gerald O'Brien

Gerald O'Brien

Founding Member, Party Treasurer and Steering Committee Member

Gerry enjoyed a career of nearly 25 years working in marketing and business development for BT and subsequently became Director of Communications for Crosslinks. A former election candidate for UKIP, Gerry stood against Tory veteran Damian Green and secured over 10,000 votes, beating Labour into third place.

David Hirst

Founding Member and Steering Committee Member

David was formerly a Conservative Councillor for over 17 years across both Kent County Council and Canterbury City Council.  An experienced wine trader, now retired, David has enjoyed a long career exporting wine and spirits, as well as managing logistics and commercial distribution operations.
