It’s time to reassert our conservative principles
If we believe in freedom and self-advancement over left-wing government dependency, we must act to put our country back on track.
The Un-conservative Conservative Party
Where we are going wrong

No Defence of National Sovereignty
‘Brexit’ should have been a Tory policy years ago. It wasn’t because they prefer globalist supranational government to nation state self-government.

Grammar Schools Banned
Once a means for the poorest kids to excel, today they are a privilege for a wealthy few thanks to the ban preventing more to be established.

Draconian Blanket Lockdowns
Against our liberal traditions, the Tories resorted to authoritarianism at a time of health crisis and destroyed lives and livilihoods in the process.

Soft Criminal Justice
With soft sentencing and soft prisons resulting in weak deterrents for preventing crime, it is no wonder why crime so rarely falls and why prisons are so often full. The Conservatives are not the “party of law and order”.

High Taxes
The tax burden is set to be the highest it’s been since the country recovered from World War Two over 70 years ago. The Tories’ public spending plans are no different to Labour’s.

No Radical Healthcare Reform
Conservatives in the US and Europe debate healthcare reform all the time. But here they simply borrow and throw more money at an inefficient monolithic socialist system and pretend they’re improving healthcare.

Mass Closure of Police Stations
The Conservatives have been responsible for the biggest mass closure of police stations we’ve ever seen and destroyed that real connection with local police officers.

Ever-Increasing Huge Public Debt
Our national debt now stands at an astonishing £2.3 trillion. The interest on that debt in February ’22 was £8.2 billion that could have been spent elsewhere.

Council Purchases of Commercial Property
Supposedly opposed to socialism, Conservative councils have purchased shopping centres, hotels, cinemas and much more, trying and failing to turn a profit but costing us a fortune.

Excessive Regulation of Business
The Tories for years insisted on EU membership and costly Single Market regulations, lobbied for by which special interests few people know.

Mass Cuts to the Armed Forces
Does it get any more unconservative than to diminish our armed forces and national defence?
And many more!
We Have the Power to Change the Future
What needs to happen next
We must:
Wait patiently until actual conservatives lead and transform the Conservative Party
Support a series of one-issue parties arguing for more referendums
Establish a serious insurgent party to obtain support and put greater freedom on the agenda

The Foundation Party
The people are the masters, not the servants
Our party motto (above) points to the fundamental change of attitude we need.
A modern society revolves around your choices rather than those of politicians sitting in an ivory tower.
We believe in the freedom to choose. We want to enhance your degree of choice and amplify your voice.
Choice in Govt Services
21st century public services tailored to your unique needs
Lower/Fewer taxes
A more free and innovative bottom-up economy
Self-Government
Permanent national independence outside the EU
Traditional Policing
Returning to ‘citizens in uniform’ who serve us, not the state
What Prioritising Freedom Looks Like
Foundation Party policies

National Independence
While the Tories are trapped by the referendum result, most of them would prefer we re-joined the EU as soon as possible.
We believe the United Kingdom must forever remain a free, independent and democratically self-governing country in full control of its own laws and its own future.

School Choice
We will introduce a radical new school system and grant poorer kids greater access to private schools.
Schools will receive funding from the spending of parent-issued vouchers and will thus compete more directly with all other schools and become more incentivised to improve their offering.

TV Licence Scrapped
We will abolish this last century television poll tax which the Tories seemingly don’t have the courage to do.
The BBC will be moved to a private subscription model. Those who wish to consume the BBC will be free to subscribe and fund the BBC. Those that do not will not be forced to do the same.

Social Insurance Healthcare
Our healthcare aim is universal access to quality healthcare tailored to your unique needs.
We will replace the NHS, a sluggish monolithic bureaucracy, with a more efficient social insurance model that accommodates personalised healthcare plans and is accessible by all regardless of means.

No Blanket Nationwide Lockdowns
Ineffective at tackling viruses, lockdowns destroy businesses, jobs, children’s education, the national economy, and the livelihoods and mental health of millions.
With a few exceptions, such as care homes, staying at home or going out during a health crisis ought to be a free and informed choice of the individual.

Free Speech Protected
No one has the right not to be offended.
While left-wing intolerance of free speech is rife in universities and company HR departments, we will protect the free flow of peaceful information, ideas and opinions – offensive or not.

New Grammar Schools Permitted
Politicians have no moral right to tell parents what sort of education their child may or may not benefit from.
We will repeal the rules that currently prevent the establishment of new grammar schools.

Devolution to Local Counties
We will devolve major powers such as health, education, housing, policing and criminal justice down to counties and metropolitan areas.
One size does not fit all. Major decisions ought to be tailored to local communities and residents better able to hold decision-makers, spending their money, to account.

Businesses Free From Excessive Rules
We must minimise misguided government command and control, and eliminate huge unnecessary costs for millions of businesses and the unfair disadvantage for small business.
A sunset clause must be applied to all EU-originated regulation that leads to their expiry, unless they can be reasoned and justified afresh.

Referendum Before Constitutional Change
Never again will a majority of short-stay politicians be legally permitted to transform our national constitution without the people’s consent first.
Parliament has no right to transfer sovereignty for example to global institutions like the European Union unless instructed to do so by the people.

National Debt Slashed
How many times have the Tories pretended to care about the debt? Yet they’ve added to it, a lot.
We will ensure borrowing and the over £2.2 trillion national debt is reduced. It is immoral, in our view, to pass such huge debt and its interest rates onto future generations.

Global Free Trade
There is no more effective way to reduce the cost of vital goods and services for everyone, including the poorest, than to cut tariffs and other restrictions on international trade.
We will unilaterally cut tariffs and pursue trade deals that would reduce trade barriers on both sides.
And many more!
I’m an elected Foundation Party councillor because I believe in democracy and greater accountability.
The main parties too often take the people for granted. Too many councils waste our money and run services poorly – if they haven’t bankrupted them. It’s time for a change of attitude.
